Shipping & Delivery Terms
Delivery Service Provider
We use PostNord/FedEx/DHL for all EU deliveries, and PostNord/ FedEx for international shipments.
If your package fits in your mailbox, it may be delivered directly there. Otherwise, it will be sent to your nearest pick-up point, where you can collect it at your convenience.
Delivery Time
We process all orders upon receipt, Monday–Friday, 09:00–17:00 (CET).
Delivery time within Sweden (PostNord 1:a klassbrev) is approximately 2–4 working days.
For international shipments:
- Within the EU: 4–8 working days, depending on the destination.
- Outside the EU: 5–10 working days.
Please note that, on rare occasions, delivery may take up to 15 working days due to carrier delays or exceptional circumstances. We’ll always do our best to make sure your order reaches you as quickly as possible.
Undelivered Parcels
If we are unable to deliver your package according to the selected delivery option, it will automatically be returned to us.
Import Duties, Customs & Taxes
We ship all orders from Sweden (EU) under Incoterms 2010: DAP, which means that for most countries outside the EU, local taxes and duties may apply upon delivery.
However, for orders shipped to the United States, we ship DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) — meaning that Silly Silas covers all import duties and taxes, so there will be no additional fees for you upon delivery.
We recommend checking with your local customs office for more details before placing your order.
Please note that for other destinations outside the EU (except Norway and the UK, which have specific rules below), the recipient is responsible for paying any import duties, customs, or local taxes applied by their country. These charges are determined by local authorities and must be settled at or after delivery.
Product prices for orders outside the EU (except Norway* and the UK ) do not include VAT. As the recipient, you are responsible for any import duties, customs charges, and local taxes applied in your country. These may be payable upon or after delivery. Unfortunately, we cannot estimate these costs — please check with your local tax office to confirm any additional charges before ordering.
Norway: From 1 April 2020, all online marketplaces and shops selling to Norway must collect 25% Norwegian VAT on low-value goods (below NOK 3,000 per item, excluding shipping and insurance costs) and be registered in the Norwegian Tax Administration’s VOEC register.
UK: 0% rated according to VAT Notice 714.
Please note: Silly Silas is not liable for these charges and will therefore not reimburse or refund them. In some regions, additional documentation may be required to clear customs — please contact your local post office for more information.
Delays
Orders are normally processed within 24 hours of receipt.
We always strive to keep any delays to a minimum and appreciate your understanding in case of unexpected disruptions.
